The Institute of Informatics and Computing in Energy (IICE) was established in December 2016 under UNITEN's BOLD2025 strategic plan. IICE is dedicated to advancing Energy Informatics — integrating ICT with energy systems to tackle challenges in efficiency, digitalisation, and sustainability.
Our research spans Energy Informatics, AI & Machine Learning in Energy, and Internet of Things (IoT), strengthening collaboration between academia, industry, and government.
IICE research focuses on three key thrusts that drive innovation in energy informatics, digitalisation, and visualisation.
Data-driven analytics for energy systems.
AI model development for energy optimization.
IoT for Stem education , IoT for Smart Building .
